kickin monday's butt

Monday, June 23, 2014

Not sure why, but I woke up full of energy this morning and told Joe I was ready to kick this Monday's butt.

+Finally picked up the July Elle Magazine yesterday.
I'm pretty sure Anna Kendrick and I would be best friends. This editorial is fantastic and very funny!

+I discovered this kitchen from "Project Holly" on Peppermint Bliss and fell in love. This is exactly what I would like my kitchen to look like...one day.

+I am finding Gardenista to be very inspiring lately with all of the gardening and yardwork we have been doing. I have also been wanting to paint our house white since we bought it and even though it may not happen this year, I have settled on the white used below. BM Swiss Coffee. Perfection. Here is a link to a great article on exterior whites.

back for real this time

Wednesday, June 18, 2014

I have debated doing away with this whole blogging thing several times now and I just haven’t, even though I have been on quite the hiatus. This time I think I am back for good, because I need some inspiration and the distraction.

I plan on sharing lots of inspiring pictures of fashion, interiors, gardens, recipes, and even maybe a few diy projects.

These are the things that I cannot stop thinking about right now:…

+Anna Wintour's Top 5 Pieces of Career Advice. I think Tip 4 is a big one, you can't just sit around waiting for the perfect job to fall in your lap!

+This Interior Design magazine spread of the Mad Men set. I am just obsessed with the design of all of the spaces on the show and love that they were able to get these pictures of the actual set. So cool.

+This amazing Atlanta vegetable garden and chicken coop in Southern Living. We are getting ready to start our own vegetable garden and I can only hope mine looks half as beautiful as this one. More on that later.

+Giada’s Penne with Sundried Tomato Pesto. I love pesto and sundried tomatoes, but this just blew me away. It is a thick pesto, but so good. The pesto itself would be delicious on a cracker with a little parmesan on top as an appetizer.
